Scientists are very satisfied with the results of the tests, because the satellite was able to successfully transmit entangled photons to three ground stations located one from another at a distance of 1000 kilometers. If everything turns out as they conceived, specialists will be able to create a reliable data channel that can not be cracked, which means that soon a network can appear that allows to transmit encrypted information over long distances. The Chinese quantum satellite was launched last summer. Since then, the engineers have already conducted a number of experiments with him, but this was the most ambitious and successful. In the course of this, the satellite transmitted data that covered about 2,400 kilometers of space.
